A Loving Kindness Christmas Workshop
Sunday December 8th 10am – 2pm
with Fidelma Farley
Is Christmas a difficult time of year for you?
Would you like to find ways to navigate Christmas with self-compassion?
Christmas can be an emotional time, often of joy and celebration, but also giving rise to emotions like sadness and loneliness. This workshop acknowledges the difficulties of the Christmas season as well as its pleasures, and will explore ways that you can nurture and care for yourself during what can sometimes be a difficult time of year. We’ll also explore ways that you can be more open to the joys of the season, in particular the connections with other people. With led meditations, reflections and discussion, the workshop will have the Loving Kindness meditation at its core as a way of approaching Christmas with open hearts. All welcome, regardless of meditation or mindfulness experience.
‘While the workshop has no religious affiliation, I certainly felt after doing the few hours on a bright clear December morning that I had been reminded of what I would see as one of the main messages of the Christmas celebration in either a religious or secular sense – connection, compassion and care.’ M.B.
